Diane Dyer - Cofounder and Executive Director of Light Beyond Loss
Diane is a Certified History Teacher in Connecticut and a Curriculum Specialist for
two non profits in Hartford. She has her Masters Degree in Education from
Central Connecticut State University, and is certified in
Expressive Arts Facilitation from Salve Regina University in R.I. Diane brings first
hand knowledge about parental bereavement thus she coordinates, facilitates, markets,
and creates retreats and events to support those going through loss.
She also attends
various workshops and seminars dealing with grief education. Diane write articles on
grief for Open to Hope, an online bereavement support organization.

K. Lisa Venn - Cofounder of Light Beyond Loss
Lisa is a board certified holistic health practitioner by the American
Association of Drugless Practitioners. She has been trained in Transformational Energy Healing, a gentle
non-invasive therapy that supports the body's natural state of energetic balance.
She is also an intuitive counselor, which is based on perceptive insight and the
knowledge of basic psychological principles and anamnesis; knowledge on the level
of spirit or soul. Lisa is also a sign language interpreter and has had over 30 years
experience in various counseling settings. Lisa is currently attending Central CT
State University to pursue her degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. She is the
cofounder of Light beyond Loss, with her cousin and dear friend, Diane Dyer.

Kathleen Zecchin - M.A.,LPC
Kathleen is a licensed professional counselor and has been a practicing psychotherapist for
seventeen years. She is committed to helping individuals heal and transform their
emotional pain and limiting beliefs by integrating a variety of modalities. These include
compassionate presence, mindfulness meditation, deep listening, focusing, and imagery.
Kathleen works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families specializing in
Grief and Loss, Depression and Anxiety.
Linda is a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist. A fervent advocate of bodywork
for healing and balance, her areas of specialty include sports and accident injury
rehabilitation, along with massage for improving performance/endurance, and chronic
pain and pain/stress management programs. She is a graduate of the Connecticut
Center of Massage Therapy and brings over seven years of experience to her practice.
She has established a cooperative relationship with other health care practitioners in
the Farmington Valley - those with alternative approaches as well as those with more
traditional "western medicine" philosophies.
Anita White Barbero
Anita has been a dedicated health and fitness professional for over twenty years. She is a
certified Kripalu Yoga teacher and certified to teach Latin style Zumba dance. Anita
stays on the cutting edge of implementing healthy living to as many people as she can
reach out to. Her specialties are personal training, group instruction, exercise
rehabilitation, spiritual rejuvenation and lecturing on those topics of healthy living
through lifestyle changes. Anita ran her own business for 10 years where she developed
the Anita White Workout, teaching aerobic and fitness classes to adults and children.
Just recently Anita designed and trademarked her specialty class called Strength &
Spirit™. As a personal trainer she has worked individually with men and women
creating customized workouts for clients such as Susan Saint James and other working
professionals. Anita travels to corporations such as ESPN to conduct group exercise
classes and health lectures.
Light beyond Loss does not receive state or federal funding.
It relies solely on the generosity of individual donors,
corporations and civic groups to support its programs.
